So you have questions huh? Read on..

Q: What is a Lan Party?
A: A Lan Party is when a group of people set up their computers in a local area forming a network of computers and play games together in a huge 3d gaming environment.

Q: Can't I just play multiplayer games over the internet?
A: Maybe. You'd need a really fast connection. A 56k modem would not work well. The "lag" could be bad even with a fast cable or DSL connection.

Q: What is LAG?
A: LAG or latency, are synonyms for delay, they are expressions of how much time it takes for a packet of (game) data to get from one designated point to another.

Q: So a LanParty has no Lag?
A: There is no way to stop Lag, but the speed of the network and the close proximity of the computers and gamers drop Lag below a point where it will be noticed.

Q: What games will be played at the Lan Party?
A: Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 Arena, Star Craft, Unreal Tournament 2003 Battle Field 1942, Counter Strike and anything else people bring and want to play.

Q: What if I suck at playing games at the Lan Party?
A: You will be killed many times and humiliated by peers and strangers, Who cares? We are here to have fun..

Q: Why do you ask for an entrance fee/donation?
A: Because there are costs for equipment and/or renting an area to host the partys at. All donations cover the LAN Parties costs or prizes. We do not make any profit.

Q: Why must I use headphones? Why can't I use my speakers?
A: Imagine a whole room of people with their speakers set to full blast.

Q: How fast does my computer need to be to play at a Lan Party?
A: Your computer needs to be able to run any game you plan on playing at the Lan Party. Check the games minimum requirements.

Q: Do I need a 3D graphics/video card?
A: Your computer needs to be able to run any game you plan on playing at the Lan Party. Check the games minimum requirements.

Q: What if I want to play but don't know much about computers or networking?
A: If you show up early we will be more the glad to help set up your computer and get it on our network so you can play.

Q: How much does this event cost??
A: It only $20 if you pre-pay or $25 at the door That gets you pizza ,sub, soda, network port, (1) power plug, plus to help out with the cost of the room

Q: Is there an age limit for MAXFrag??
A: NO there isn't...but we require the Kids under the age of 18 to have the parrents meet "The Man in Charge" just to make sure its alright For their kid to play with people older than him and are O.K. with Violence, Blood, and Guts and that we are not a baby sitting service.
